‘After School Stories’ is what we call our daily bonding session during the school term. The kids update me on the juicy, dramatic and meh 😑 happenings of their day. On many occasions, some of these stories lead to the topic; “Be careful of the kind of company that you keep”.
This proverb is a reminder of one of those topics that we can’t afford to tire having on repeat 🔁 with the kids. It has held true over generations.
The character of the people we surround ourselves with can affect us. If we want to be of good character, we need to surround ourselves with people whose presence calls forth our best. If we stay around people whose character is not admirable, we eventually absorb their traits.
Here’s to our children having friendships that build them up and cause them to be the best version of themselves. 🙌🏾🙌🏾
